Strep Throat...

...the mere thought of it takes me back to endless cycles of fevers, coughing and sometimes...gulp...vomiting. Now that my big kids are older they can handle strep with a little more finese because, after all, they have a social life. But my poor little Katie...all 15 months of her...is feeling quite yucky tonight. Oh she's not coughing, feverish and thank goodness, no vomiting, but I just know...you know? Oh you know when your baby is not acting right. And that's how she is...a little not right. She's taking her first antibiotic, ever. That's pretty good considering she's 15 months. Lovely pink, bubblegum flavored amoxicillin. She sooooo does not like the taste. So hopefully I'll have a quiet evening of rest and no wake up calls from a sick baby. Until next time...

Thursday Ramblings

Just now hopped on the Blog train so bear with me....

Do you ever wonder if you can ever be a good enough wife, mother, care giver, cook, Girl Scout leader, gardener, maid, Christian, sister, daughter....EVERYTHING? I shouldn't really care but I do. When I read Proverbs 31 (the perfect woman...lol) I think WHOA! There's no way. But truthfully...I do alot of those things without thinking. No I don't get up before dawn to sell material woven by my hands but I do get up and hand wash my little ones cloth diapers so they'll be extra fresh after coming out of my front loader. Jesus doesn't care that I'm not perfect...He only cares that I'm attempting to be the best that He created me for. That small little thought of such an enormous gift is the most peaceful thing in my life.
